How do I open a document for annotation?
You can annotate documents that are available in a Board Book.
To open a document for annotation:
Open the Board Book.
Select the agenda item or document you want to review.
Open the document.
The document opens and is ready for annotation.
Tip: Documents can be annotated before, during, or after a meeting.
How do I create annotations?
BoardWorks provides annotation tools that allow you to add notes and markups directly to documents.
To create an annotation:
Open a document.
Tap the annotations icon on the bottom of the screen
Select the annotation tool you would like to use (draw, highlight, note)
Tap or draw on the document to add your annotation.
Continue adding notes and markups as needed.
Close the annotation screen.
Depending on the annotation tool selected, you will be able to:
Draw directly on the document
Highlight content
Add notes
How do I change annotation colours?
BoardWorks allows you to select different colours when annotating documents.
To change annotation colors:
Open a document.
Select an annotation tool.
Tap the colour selector.
Choose the colour you want to use.
The selected colour will be applied to new annotations.
How do I edit or undo annotations?
If you make a mistake while annotating, you can use the available editing controls.
To undo an annotation:
Tap the Undo button.
To restore an annotation that was undone:
Tap the Redo button.
These controls allow you to quickly manage changes while reviewing documents.
How do I delete an annotation?
You can remove annotations that are no longer needed.
To delete an annotation:
Tap the annotation you want to remove.
Select Delete from the menu.
The annotation is removed from the document.
How do I navigate a document while annotating?
You can continue reviewing a document while adding annotations.
To navigate a document:
Open the document.
Swipe left or right to move between pages.

Use the page navigation controls
View your current page number
Move between pages while preserving your annotations
How are annotations saved?
Annotations created in the BoardWorks iPhone app are automatically saved and synchronized with the BoardWorks server.
If your device is temporarily offline, annotations are saved locally on the device and synchronized automatically when a connection becomes available.
You can also manually synchronize annotations by using the Save Annotations to Server option available within the Board Book.
Note: In most situations, manual saving is not required because BoardWorks automatically synchronizes annotations when a network connection is available.
