The login directions discussed below are for all users except those who are using Multi-Factor Authentication. If Multi-factor authentication is enabled, see Using Multi-Factor Authentication.
1. Start the preferred Web Browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge)
2. Visit the URL that was provided to you by your project manager during your implementation.
3. Enter Username
4. Enter Password
5. Click on Login
Please note: It is recommended that attendees test their access to BoardWorks from the device they will be using in the Board Meeting. This will mitigate any potential issues Directors could have with logging in, resetting, or changing their passwords (if required). In addition, if there are any WIFI or network issues at the meeting location, Directors could work offline if their content was previously synced and downloaded.
First Time Login
New users will receive an email from BoardWorks with the subject:
"Welcome to BoardWorks" This email will contain the BoardWorks URL, your username and temporary password to use on first login.
Once you've entered the temporary password, BoardWorks will require that a new permanent password be created.
Important: Passwords Requirements.
All passwords must:
Contain at least 9 alpha-numeric characters.
Contain at least one lowercase and one uppercase letter.
Not contain your username, first name, or last name.
Not match the last 6 passwords used
Within this email, users will find
The URL to access BoardWorks
Their username
Their temporary password
With this information, users can now:
1. Start the preferred Internet Browser
2. Type in BoardWorks URL which is provided on the Welcome email above
3. Enter the Username as indicated in the email.
4. If this is the first login, enter the temporary password as indicated in the email
5. Click on Login.
Change Password on First-time Login
This screen will appear automatically.
Red Note: Your password has expired please change your password.
1. Enter the password from the email.
2. Type in a new password.
3. Repeat: type in the new password.
4. Click on OK.
Setting Up Security Question on First-Time Login:
Important: A security question and answer are required for a password reset.
1. Click here to set the Security Question
2. Type in your security question
3. Type in your security answer
Please note: Security question answers must be at least 8 characters long and can include spaces.
4. Click on Change Security Question.
Forgot Password
If a password is forgotten in the future, users can choose to reset their password from the main login screen.
Please note: This is also possible for users to access the BoardWorks from a mobile application.
1. From the login screen, click on Forgot Password.
2. Enter your username
3. Click on I’m not a robot.
4. Click on RESET PASSWORD
On the next screen you will see your security question
5. Enter your security question answer
6. Click on SUBMIT.
On the next screen, you will create your new password:
7. Enter your new password in the new password field according to the password complexity rules.
8. Re-enter your new password
9. Click on RESET PASSWORD
Once you have reset your password, you will be taken back to the login screen where you can login using your new password.
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) – Log in
If Multi-factor Authentication is activated, the person using Multi-factor authentication will receive a text message
and then that code will be typed into the One Time Code screen that appears
Please note: If the code disappears, it can be reset by clicking on the Send OTP again option.
Please note: If logging in from a mobile device, the Director will also be prompted to designate the device as a trusted device for Multi-factor Authentication. Designating it as such will allow the user subsequent logins without having to re-authenticate with Multi-factor Authentication.
