Officer Groups Management

Updated over 9 months ago

On occasion, a board will have users in BoardWorks however they do not belong to any committees directly but must be able to attend meetings and access board materials. For example, an external Auditor or Counsel that must attend and participate in an Audit committee meeting but is not part of the Audit committee on the board. Or perhaps a CEO that must attend meetings but does not sit on any committees. For this, Officer Groups are necessary as all content in BoardWorks is driven by committee membership and if a users is unassigned to any committee or officer group, they will not be able to access any board content.

By setting up an Officer Group and associating the group to a committee and adding these types of users to those groups, the users can be invited to the associated committee meetings and give the users access to the board materials without being part of the committee.

Creating a Senior Officer Group

Login as an Administrator and navigate to Admin and click on the Officer Groups tab.

Click on "New Group" button

Enter Officer Group Name & Description (optional)

Select the committee(s) that you'd like to associate your new officer group with

Select the Officer Group Members and click "Save"

Now the next time the admin create a meeting for the associated committee, the officer group will be listed as well and they will be able to individually select the group members as attendees of the meeting.
