How do I access BoardWorks Chat?
BoardWorks Chat allows you to communicate directly with other BoardWorks users from within the BoardWorks iPhone app. You can use Chat to participate in conversations, share information, and collaborate with other Directors and administrators.
To access BoardWorks Chat:
Tap Chats from the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
The Chats screen displays your existing conversations and provides options to start new chats and continue ongoing discussions.
From BoardWorks Chat, you can:
View existing conversations
Start new chats
Send and receive messages
Share photos, media, and files
Tip: New conversations and unread messages may appear in your Chats list, making it easy to stay informed and respond quickly.
How do I start a new chat?
You can create a new conversation with one or more BoardWorks users directly from BoardWorks Chat.
To start a new chat:
Tap Chats from the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the New Chat icon.
Select one or more users.
Enter your message.
Tap Send.
The new conversation will appear in your Chats list.
Note: Selecting multiple users when creating a new chat creates a chat group, allowing all selected participants to communicate within the same conversation.
Tip: Group chats can be useful when collaborating with multiple Directors or administrators on a common topic.
How do I send a message?
You can send messages within any existing conversation.
To send a message:
Open a conversation from the Chats list.
Tap the message field at the bottom of the screen.
Enter your message.
Tap Send.
Your message will be added to the conversation and delivered to the other participant or members of the chat group.
Tip: Messages are organized within each conversation, making it easy to review previous discussions and continue ongoing conversations.
How do I view my conversations?
All conversations are displayed within BoardWorks Chat.
To view your conversations:
Tap Chats from the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
Select a conversation from the Chats list.
From a conversation, you can:
Review previous messages
Continue existing discussions
View individual chats
Participate in group chats
Access the latest conversation activity
Tip: Recent conversations are displayed in your Chats list, making it easy to continue ongoing discussions.
How do I share photos, videos, media, and files?
BoardWorks Chat allows you to share photos, videos, media, and files with other users and chat groups.
To share content in a chat:
Open a conversation.
Tap the PLUS icon next to the message field.
Select one of the available options:
Take a Photo
Take a Video
Upload Media
Files
Select or create the content you want to share.
Tap Send.
The attachment is added to the conversation and becomes available to all participants in the chat.
What can I share in BoardWorks Chat?
You can share:
Photos taken with your iPhone camera
Videos recorded with your iPhone camera
Existing photos and videos stored on your device
Files stored on your device
Note: Your iPhone may request permission to access the camera, photo library, or files when sharing content for the first time.
Tip: Any photos, videos, media, or files shared in a group chat are visible to all participants in the conversation.
Is BoardWorks Chat available in the Windows app?
BoardWorks Chat is currently available in the BoardWorks mobile apps, including the iPhone and Android Apps.
To access BoardWorks Chat:
Open the BoardWorks app on your iPhone.
Tap Chats from the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
From BoardWorks Chat, you can:
Start individual conversations
Create group chats
Send and receive messages
Share photos, videos, media, and files
Participate in ongoing discussions
