How do I open a Board Book?
You can open a Board Book in two ways:
Option 1: Open from the homepage
Locate the meeting on the homepage.
Click the Open Book icon to the right.
Option 2: Open from the meeting preview
Locate the meeting on the homepage
Click the meeting title.
Click Board Book.
This opens the Board Book and displays the agenda and associated documents.
How do I navigate the Board Book?
There are three ways to navigate through the Board Book:
Option 1: Use the index
Locate the Index on the left side of the screen.
Click any agenda item or document.
This allows you to quickly jump between sections.
Option 2: Scroll through the document
Use your mouse or trackpad to scroll up and down through pages.
This allows you to move naturally through documents.
Option 3: Use page navigation controls
Locate the page navigation controls at the top of the document.
Click the Previous Page or Next Page arrows.
You can also enter a page number directly to jump to a specific page.
This is particularly useful when reviewing larger documents.
How do I zoom in or out?
You can adjust the zoom level to make documents easier to read.
Open a document in the Board Book.
Click the Zoom In (+) button to enlarge the document.
Click the Zoom Out (-) button to reduce the document size.
Adjust the zoom level as needed while reviewing content.
How do I search within a document?
You can search for specific words or phrases within the currently open document.
Open a document.
Click the Search icon.
Enter the word or phrase you want to find.
Review the search results and navigate between matches.
Searching can help you quickly locate information within longer documents.
How do I change the document view mode?
You can change how documents are displayed while reviewing meeting materials.
Open a document in the Board Book.
Click the View Mode icon in the toolbar.
Select one of the available viewing options:
Full Document Width – Expands the document to use the full width of the viewing area.
Full Screen – Fits the entire document within the viewing area so the full page is visible onscreen.
Changing the view mode can make documents easier to read depending on your screen size and personal preference.
What is the Settings option?
The Settings menu allows you to customize how documents are displayed while reviewing materials in the Board Book.
To access document settings:
Open a document in the Board Book.
Click the Settings icon in the toolbar.
The following options are available:
Page Mode
Page Mode controls how document pages are displayed.
Available options may include:
Single Page view
Facing Pages view
Presentation Mode view
Select the option that best suits how you prefer to review documents.
Page Transition
Page Transition controls how documents move from one page to the next.
Select the preferred page transition style when navigating through documents.
Page Rotation
Page Rotation allows you to rotate document pages.
To rotate a page:
Open the Settings menu.
Select either:
Rotate Left
Rotate Right
This can be useful when reviewing documents that were scanned or uploaded in a different orientation.
This provides additional flexibility when viewing meeting materials and allows you to tailor the reading experience to your preferences.
Working with Documents
How do I email a document?
You can email the currently open document directly from the Board Book.
Open the document you want to share.
Click Email in the toolbar.
Enter the Document Integration License Key (if required).
In the Share dialog, select your email client (for example, Outlook).
Select the recipient(s).
Enter a message (optional).
Click Send.
Note: Email functionality may vary depending on your organization's permissions and licensing.
How do I open a document in another application?
The Open With option allows supported documents to be opened using another application installed on your computer.
Open the document you want to use.
Click Open With in the toolbar.
Enter the Document Integration License Key (if required).
Select the application you want to use.
The document will open in the selected application.
How do I print a document?
You can print the currently open document directly from the Board Book.
Open the document you want to print.
Click the Print icon in the toolbar.
Enter the Document Printing License Key (if required).
Review your printer and print settings.
Click Print.
The document will be sent to your selected printer.
Note: Printing functionality may require additional licensing and configuration. If you are prompted for a License Key, contact your BoardWorks administrator or Support for assistance.
