Managing My Profile and Settings on iPad

This section explains how to view and update your profile and account settings in the BoardWorks iPad app, including your profile details, profile picture, password, and security question.

How do I view and edit my profile?

To access your profile:

  1. Tap your profile icon in the top‑right corner of the screen.

  2. Select View Profile.

To edit your profile:

  1. Tap Edit.

  2. Update the fields you want to change.

  3. Tap Save to apply your changes.

Your profile may include information such as your contact details, title, company, and other relevant information.

How do I add or update my profile picture?

To add or change your profile picture:

  1. Tap your profile icon and select View Profile.

  2. Tap Edit.

  3. Tap the profile picture area.

  4. Choose one of the following options:

    • Choose from Library to select an existing photo

    • Take New to capture a new photo using your device

  5. Tap Save.

Your new profile picture will be displayed on your profile.

How do I change my password?

To change your password:

  1. Open the main menu.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Tap My Account.

  4. Select Password.

  5. Enter your current password, new password, and confirm the new password.

  6. Tap Save.

Note: Your password must meet the required complexity rules.

How do I change my security question?

To update your security question:

  1. Open the main menu.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Tap My Account.

  4. Select Security Question.

  5. Enter your new security question and answer.

  6. Tap Save.

Your security question is used to help verify your identity if you need to reset your password.

Use Face ID or Touch ID

Toggle to enable or disabled Face ID or Touch ID to login to BoardWorks

Forget This Account

This option resets the app and removes your account from the iPad.

To use this option:

  1. Open the main menu

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Tap My Account

  4. Tap Forget This Account

This action:

  • Removes your account from the app

  • Clears locally stored data

  • Requires you to log in again

Note: Forgetting your account is also a useful troubleshooting step if you are experiencing sync issues. When you log in again, the app performs a full sync, which restores your content and any saved annotations.

How do I manage Sync Preferences?

Sync Preferences allow you to control how content is synced and to your iPad.

To update your sync preferences:

  1. Open the main menu

  2. Tap Settings

Locate the Sync Preference section.

From here, you can adjust the following:

  • Amount
    Select how much historical content (such as meetings and documents) is synced to your iPad

  • Frequency
    Set how often the app checks for updates and synchronizes content

  • Connection
    Choose whether syncing occurs:

    • On Wi‑Fi only, or

    • Wi-Fi and Mobile Network

Changes are applied automatically after selection.

What is the About section?

The About section provides general information about the app and access to additional resources.

To access the About section:

  1. Open the main menu

  2. Tap Settings

Scroll to the About section.

From here, you can:

  • Contact Us for Support
    Access our Global Support contact information

  • Version
    View the current version of the BoardWorks app installed on your device

  • Sign Out

    Sign out of the application and get taken back to the login screen.

What you can do next

After updating your profile and settings, you can:

  • Return to the Dashboard

  • Access meetings and Board Books

  • Continue reviewing or completing tasks
