This section explains how you can update your password and security question in BoardWorks using a web browser.
Your account security settings apply across BoardWorks, including access from mobile apps.
How do I change my password?
To change your password:
Select your name from the user menu in the upper‑right corner of the screen.
Select Change Password.
Enter your current password and new password in the appropriate fields.
Select Change Password.
Password requirements
Your new password must meet the following criteria:
Be at least 9 characters long and no more than 32 characters
Include at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, and one number
Not match your username, first name, or last name
Be different from your last six passwords
Please Note: Your BoardWorks password is shared across devices. Any change you make to your password in the web portal also applies when you access BoardWorks using the mobile apps.
How do I change my security question?
Your security question is used to help verify your identity if you forget your password. When resetting your password from the login screen, you will be required to enter your security question set here.
To change your security question:
Select your name from the user menu in the upper‑right corner of the screen.
Select Change Security Question.
Enter your new security question and answer.
Select OK.
Please note: Your security question is the same across BoardWorks platforms. Any change made in the web portal also applies when using the BoardWorks mobile apps, and vice versa.
How do I Recover My Username?
If you forget your BoardWorks username, you can recover it directly from the BoardWorks login screen.
Your username is the same credential used to access BoardWorks from a web browser and from the mobile apps.
Please note: To recover your username, you must know the primary email address associated with your BoardWorks account.
How do I recover my username?
To recover your forgotten username:
On the BoardWorks login screen, select Forgot Username.
Enter your email address and last name.
Complete the captcha verification.
Select Request Username.
An email containing your username is automatically sent to the primary email address associated with your account.
What happens next?
Once you receive your username:
Return to the login screen
Sign in using your recovered username and password
If you no longer have access to your primary email address, contact your BoardWorks Administrator or Support for assistance.
How do I Reset My Password?
If you forget your password, you can reset it from the BoardWorks login screen.
Your password is the same password used when accessing BoardWorks from a web browser and from the mobile apps.
Please note: You must have previously set up a security question and answer in order to reset your password
To reset your forgotten password:
On the BoardWorks login screen, select Forgot Password.
Enter your username and the verification code, then complete the captcha challenge.
Select Reset Password.
Enter the answer to your security question.
Enter and confirm your new password.
Select Reset Password to complete the process.
Once the reset is successful, you can sign in using your new password.
Important things to know
Your password change applies across all BoardWorks platforms, including the mobile apps.
If you are unable to answer your security question, you may need assistance from your BoardWorks Administrator or Support.
Password requirements must still be met when setting a new password.
