Responding to a Vote

Learn how Directors can access, review, and submit voting items in BoardWorks using a web browser.

Voting allows you to record a formal decision on a specific topic in BoardWorks, such as a resolution or consent item.

How do I access a vote?

You can access voting items in two ways:

  • From an email notification


When a vote is available, you may receive an email alert.

  • If you are already logged in to BoardWorks, select the first link in the email.

  • If you are not logged in, select the second link, sign in, and the voting questionnaire opens automatically after login.

  • From within BoardWorks

  1. From the Dashboard, select Voting from the main navigation menu.

  2. A list of all voting items that are awaiting your response is displayed.

  3. Select the voting item name you want to respond to.

How do I respond to a vote?

After opening a voting item:

  • Review the voting question carefully.

  • Select Yes, No, or Abstain, depending on the available options.

Some voting items may include documents attached for reference, which you can review before submitting your vote.

How do I submit my vote?

Once you have selected your response:

  • Select Submit to record your vote.

After submission, your response is saved and the voting item is marked as complete.

What you can do next

After submitting a vote, you can:

  • Return to the Dashboard

  • Review meetings or documents

  • Check for additional evaluations, surveys, or voting items that may require your response
