Viewing Reference Documents

Learn to access, view, and download reference documents in BoardWorks using a web browser.

How do I access reference documents?

To access reference documents in BoardWorks:

  1. Select Documents from the main navigation menu.

  2. Select References.

The References area displays all reference materials available to you.

How are reference documents organized?

The References section is organized into three categories to help you easily locate information:

  • Corporate Information
    Contains high‑level corporate materials and reference information.

  • Directors’ Guide
    Includes guidance and materials provided specifically for Directors.

  • General Board Information
    Contains general reference documents relevant to board and committee activities.

Within each category, documents are stored in folders and subfolders, allowing you to browse and locate information efficiently.

Reference materials are added and maintained by your BoardWorks Administrator.

How do I view reference documents?

To view reference documents:

  1. Select the folder you want to access.

  2. The folder opens and displays any documents or subfolders it contains.

  3. Select the document name to open it.

When you open a document, it displays in your web browser. How the document is presented depends on your browser’s settings and how PDF files are configured to open on your device.
