The BoardWorks Dashboard

Learn how the BoardWorks Dashboard helps Directors find meetings, view updates, and navigate BoardWorks using a web browser.

How do I access BoardWorks?

When you sign in to BoardWorks using a web browser, you are taken directly to the Dashboard. The Dashboard is your starting point for reviewing meetings, accessing Board Books, and completing assigned tasks.

What you see when the Dashboard loads

After logging in, the Dashboard displays:

  • The main navigation menu on the left side of the screen, providing access to:

    • Meetings and Events

    • Alerts

    • Documents

    • Evaluations

    • Surveys

    • Voting

    • Links

    • Profiles

  • The Upcoming Meetings and Events panel, showing your upcoming meetings and events for the currently selected board.

  • The Recent Updates panel, displaying activity related to meetings, documents, alerts, and discussions that is available to you.

All content shown on the Dashboard reflects the content you have access to by means of committee or officer group membership for the board that is currently selected.

From the Dashboard, you can access the following areas available to you as a Director:

  • Meetings and Events
    View upcoming and past meetings and events, access related agendas and Board Books.

  • Alerts
    Review important information that has been flagged for your attention.

  • Documents
    Access reference materials, including Corporate Information, Directors’ Guides, and General Board Information.

  • Evaluations
    Respond to evaluations and questionnaires assigned to you.

  • Surveys
    Complete surveys made available to you.

  • Voting
    Participate in votes that require a Yes or No responses, with an optional Abstain when available.

  • Links
    Open useful external websites provided within BoardWorks.

  • Profiles
    View information about other BoardWorks users and manage your own profile.

This information updates automatically based on the board that is currently selected.

Multi-boarding - How do I switch between boards?

If you are a Director on more than one board, you can switch between boards using the Board selector at the top of the screen.

To switch boards:

  1. Select the Board selector on the top left

  2. Choose the board you want to view.

When you change the selected board:

  • The Dashboard updates automatically.

  • Meetings, documents, alerts, and tasks refresh to show information for the selected board only.

This allows you to easily manage and review information across multiple boards without logging out.

How do I access my user options?

Your user menu is located in the upper‑right corner of the Dashboard.

From the user menu, you can:

  • View and update your profile

  • Change your password

  • Change your security question

  • Access support information

These options apply to your user account, not to a specific board.

What you can do next

From the Dashboard, you can:

  • Select a meeting to review the agenda and Board Book

  • Open and download meeting documents for offline review

  • View alerts and recent updates related to meetings and documents

  • Access and complete evaluations, surveys, or voting items assigned to you

  • View and update your profile and account settings
