Microsoft 365 Integration
Microsoft 365, powered by its core tools like Outlook and OneDrive, has revolutionized the way businesses operate—enhancing teamwork, communication, and efficiency. Integrating these capabilities into BoardWorks allows users to simplify workflows, optimize productivity, and manage tasks more intuitively, all within the familiar platform.
Requirements
To take advantage of Microsoft 365 Integration, you must be a BoardWorks Administrator and have a Microsoft 365 account. The below will walk you through the configuration and usage in BoardWorks.
Please note: Public/Free Microsoft or Outlook accounts are not supported currently.
Activating Microsoft 365 Integration
There are two ways in which you can active Microsoft 365 Integration
1. By selecting the ‘Add Meeting Details to Outlook’ checkbox
2. By selecting Microsoft OneDrive as a document source.
Both scenarios are covered below.
Add meeting details to Outlook checkbox
To integrate Microsoft 365 through this checkbox all you have to do is select the Add meeting details to Outlook checkbox in the Meeting Information step and then publishing the meeting, this will trigger the integration process.
Publishing your meeting while this checkbox is selected will trigger the integration process to give BoardWorks permission to connect with Microsoft 365.
Select Microsoft OneDrive as Document source
Another way of activating Microsoft 365 is by selecting OneDrive as a source for document uploads from Meetings & Events or Documents.
When creating a Meeting, along with the usual options of Drag and Drop and Select files…you will notice the Select OneDrive files button as a new option for uploading documents. Selecting this option will trigger the integration process.
From the Documents section, you will also notice the Select OneDrive files button as a new option for uploading documents.
In both scenarios, if you would like to upload documents from OneDrive, click the button Select OneDrive files.
Once selected, it will trigger the integration process to give BoardWorks permission to connect to
your Microsoft 365 account. You will be presented with the Microsoft 365 login screen.
To begin - Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account credentials.
Once you have signed in, you will be asked to confirm permissions.
Click Accept to connect.
Please Note: Depending on your internal policy, these types of approvals may be managed by your IT department and will have to go through an internal approval process.
If this is the case, your screen may look a little different.
Enter any required information and click Request Approval
Once the integration is approved by your team, you can start using the new features right away.
Please Note: As Microsoft 365 Integration involves a third-party application (Microsoft 365), and may require internal approval by your IT department, we may not be able to assist or troubleshoot certain issues if they pertain to your Microsoft 365 account or integration with BoardWorks.
