Insert and Re-Order Questions
You can now insert new questions and re-order existing questions within an Evaluation by simply dragging & dropping them in the desired sequence.
Attach Documents to questions
Documents can now be attached directly to Evaluation questions to provide additional context, supporting materials, or reference information for recipients. When creating or editing a question, click on the "Add Document" option to associate one or more documents with that question.
New! - Appointment Types
We have now added the option to assign users to several Appointment types. The below appointments types are now included in your portal and can be used to target Evaluation questions as you will see further below.
To assign an appointment type to a user, simply access the user account from the Administrator’s portal and you will find the new Appointments section. Simply select an Appointment Type from the dropdown to assign to a user.
Should you wish to modify any appointment types, please reach out to support and we can make any changes for you.
Target your question to Appointment Type(s)
Use this option to target any question in your Evaluation to user(s) with a specific appointment type.
Target your question to Committee(s)
Use this option to target any question in your Evaluation to a specific committee.
Restrict Evaluation Results
Use this option to restrict any selected Administrator(s) from viewing results for the selected evaluation.
Anonymous Answers
Use this option to make all the evaluation answers anonymous when exporting from BoardWorks.
Note: In anonymous mode, full results will not be available until all recipients have submitted the evaluation.
Exported results will show Answered By as Anonymous instead of listing the user’s names.
Conditional Questioning/Follow-Up Questions
Use this option to add a follow-up question prompted by selected responses to previous questions.
Please note: Only the below question types that can prompt a follow-up question:
· Choice (Drop Down)
· Choice (Radio Buttons)
· Choice (Checkboxes)
· Choice (Opinion)
· Number (Range)
· Yes/No (Radio Buttons)
What is the Evaluations module?
Answer: The Evaluations module builds on the existing Surveys functionality by providing additional tools to securely collect, manage, and analyze feedback from board members and management.
How is Evaluations different from Surveys?
Answer: Evaluations expands upon Surveys by introducing features such as Appointment Type targeting, Committee targeting, conditional questioning, anonymous responses, and restrictions on who can view evaluation results.
How do I add a new question to an Evaluation?
Answer: While editing an Evaluation, use the available question options to add a new question. New questions can be inserted between existing questions as needed.
Can I rearrange questions in an Evaluation?
Answer: Yes. Questions can be reordered by dragging and dropping them into the desired position within the Evaluation.
Can I insert a question between existing questions?
Answer: Yes. New questions can be added anywhere within an Evaluation and positioned as needed.
What are Appointment Types?
Answer: Appointment Types are classifications that can be assigned to users. They can then be used to target Evaluation questions to specific groups of users.
How do I assign an Appointment Type to a user?
Answer: Navigate to the user account within the Administrator portal. In the Appointments section, select the appropriate Appointment Type from the dropdown list.
Can Appointment Types be customized?
Answer: Yes. If you need to add, remove, or modify Appointment Types, please contact BoardWorks Support for assistance.
How do I target a question to specific Appointment Types?
Answer: When configuring an Evaluation question, use the Appointment Type targeting option and select the Appointment Types that should receive the question.
Can I target a question to more than one Appointment Type?
Answer: Yes. Multiple Appointment Types can be selected when targeting a question.
How do I target an Evaluation question to a Committee?
Answer: When editing a question, use the Committee targeting option and select the Committee(s) that should receive the question.
Can different Committees receive different questions?
Answer: Yes. Each question can be targeted to specific Committees as needed.
How do I restrict access to Evaluation results?
Answer: Use the Restrict Evaluation Results option to prevent selected Administrators from viewing the results of a specific Evaluation.
Can Evaluation responses be anonymous?
Answer: Yes. Anonymous mode can be enabled when exporting Evaluation results.
What happens when anonymous mode is enabled?
Answer: User names are removed from exported results and responses are identified as "Anonymous."
Why can't I see anonymous Evaluation results yet?
Answer: When anonymous mode is enabled, complete results are not available until all recipients have submitted their responses.
Can I see who submitted an anonymous response?
Answer: No. Anonymous mode removes user identification from exported results.
What are Conditional Questions?
Answer: Conditional Questions are follow-up questions that appear based on how a user answers a previous question.
How do I create a follow-up question?
Answer: When editing an eligible question type, use the Conditional Question option to create a follow-up question that is triggered by selected responses.

Answer: The following question types support follow-up questions:

Why would I use Conditional Questions?
Answer: Conditional Questions allow Evaluations to be more relevant by showing additional questions only when they apply to a user's response.
How do I export Evaluation results?
Answer: Open the Evaluation and select the export option to download the results for review and analysis.
Will anonymous responses remain anonymous when exported?
Answer: Yes. Exported results will display "Anonymous" instead of user names when anonymous mode is enabled.
Can I attach documents to Evaluation questions?
Answer: Yes. Documents can be attached to Evaluation questions, allowing recipients to review supporting materials before submitting their responses.
Why would I attach a document to an Evaluation question?
Answer: Attaching documents allows Administrators to provide board members and management with additional information, such as policies, reports, meeting materials, or supporting documentation that may help inform their responses.
NEW! – iPad Split-Screen View
In BW 6.2, we’ve implemented the ability to integrate any virtual meeting platform with the iPad app. The BoardWorks iPad app can now share the same screen as your virtual meeting. You can now attend your virtual meetings while simultaneously working in BoardWorks without having to toggle between apps.
To use Split-Screen view please follow the instructions below.
1. With BoardWorks open on your iPad, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Dock.
2. On the Dock, touch and hold the online meeting app that you want to open, then drag it off the dock to the left or right edge of the screen.
· To give the apps equal space on the screen, drag the app divider to the center of the screen.
· To turn a Split View into a Slide Over, swipe down from the top of the app.
· To close Split View, drag the app divider over the app that you want to close.
